Mr Ruoff, what is FinTech axytos doing at a startup event?

A fair question, after all, we founded axytos as a classic start-up in 2019 and, thanks to our convincing and groundbreaking business model, we were financed very quickly and completely. When you consider that only 10 per cent of all start-ups make it past the five-year mark, that’s quite remarkable. In this respect, we are happy to report on how start-ups can find an investor and how to achieve successful financing.

But the real reason for our involvement at Bits & Pretzels is another: the cloud-based axytos platform enables start-ups, but also e-commerce, retailers, marketplaces, PSPs and banks to set up digital business models smartly, flexibly and monetise them immediately via an API and according to the plug & play principle. And all this along the entire customer financial lifecycle.

Users of the axytos platform thus benefit from a significant reduction in development costs and shorten time-to-market when designing new business models. After all, a start-up has to earn money at some point, which is also what potential investors in Munich are counting on. And that is precisely why the axytos road crew will be available on all three days this year as a contact partner for the aforementioned target groups.

You were already there last year as a visitor. What did you take away with you?

Arnold Schwarzenegger inspired us last year with his impressive and very honest keynote speech and we are very excited about this year’s equally top-class speakers. And if you think that the third day at the Oktoberfest in the Festhalle Schottenhamel is all about partying, I’m afraid you’re in for a disappointment. Here, so-called table captains, including founders or investors, organise and moderate a business speed-dating session that focuses on relevant topics in the start-up ecosystem. But that doesn’t mean that we have to miss out on the bu-siness, a tasty beer and music (laughs).
